With extensive experience in journalism, media, and communication, I am a seasoned professional known for weaving compelling narratives that inform, inspire, and engage diverse audiences. My career has been marked by impactful contributions to reputable media outfits, including tenure at Radio Nigeria, Voice of America, e-Global notícias em português, and Africa Prime News.

I hold a Master’s degree in Specialized Journalism from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA, where I received the inaugural Charlotta Bass Research Fellowship to research human rights and social justice issues. It looked at how African students in Ukraine used smartphones to create a hashtag, #AfricansInUkraine, to fight racism when they were denied exit from the country in early 2022, in the wake of the Russian-Ukraine war. Before that, I went to the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria, where I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication in 2004.

I have also been involved in researching the Tangale people of northeast Nigeria, as well as unveiling and promoting works done by other researchers and authors, thereby sustaining the legacies of the Tangale people.

I currently serve as a Writer and Media Relations Specialist at Universal Dorcas Ministry (UDM), a nonprofit organization in California, USA, committed to providing humanitarian aid, education, and empowerment to vulnerable communities across Africa.

In my role at UDM, I craft updates and stories for the organization’s website, skillfully draft media copy, and adeptly liaise with journalists. My skill set extends to social media management, where I leverage my news reporting and editorial skills to create high-quality, timely content that showcases UDM’s far-reaching impact and remarkable achievements.

One of my notable strengths is using new media strategies, enabling UDM to reach and connect with a broader and more diverse online audience. I take pride in collaborating with a dedicated team of passionate professionals who share my unwavering vision and mission to transform lives and make a profound difference in the world.
